what were the pros and cons of technical advancements during the industrial revolution?
Some examples are
Pros:
Allowed for faster production, thus more products being made.
Since there were more products, it allowed for items to be cheaper
The rise of Urbanization
Better medicine( Examples: Vaccines & X-ray)
Better Communication through invention of telephone
Allowed for faster transportation & communication with inventions such as the railroad & steam engine.
Cons:
Machines needed to be supervised by people leading to a huge use in Child Labor.
Factories were dangerous, dirty places to work, making workers easily prone to disease & injury
Workers were forced to work long hours with short breaks
The need for cotton to provide for machines made the slave trade profitable again
There are many many more reasons too.
