Due to its compact size , this system is ideal for high power near field monitoring. Furthermore, it is well suited to general purpose broadcasting applications, TV control rooms, mobile vans and CD mastering as well as home studios. The unique Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW ) Technology used provides excellent stereo imaging and frequency balance even in difficult acoustic environments. Versatile crossover controls allow for precise matching of the speaker system to different acoustic conditions. Genelec DCW Technology: Flat on and off-axis response for wider usable listening areaIncreased direct-to-reflected sound ratio for reduced room colorationImproved stereo imagingIncreased driver efficiencyIncreased system SPL capacityDecreased drive unit distortionReduced cabinet edge diffractionReduced distortionThe revolutionary Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) technology greatly improves the performance of a direct radiating multi-way loudspeaker. The aim is to match the frequency response and directivity of the drivers in the loudspeaker. This results in excellent match of overall frequency response on and off axis. The improved directivity control reduces the reflected sound at the listening position. This improves the stereo imaging and ensures very small sensitivity to varying control room acoustics, actually much smaller sensitivity than with any conventional direct radiator design. And this is not all! The DCW technology also improves the drive unit sensitivity even up to +6 dB, and therefore increases the maximum sound pressure level as well as decreases the distortion. The system is very easy to use as only mains power and line level input signal are needed. A rack mount adapter is available so that the amplifier section can be positioned separately from the ca |

A7X Active Studio Monitor (Single) $699 ADAMs A7 & A7X: the evolution of a legendThe predecessor to the A7X, the A7, became the most famous of all ADAM monitors in a very short time. Not only has it been reviewed over three dozen times with outstanding results, it has also received numerous awards. The A7 quickly gained mass appeal, praised in many of the worlds largest internet forums. Still today, the A7 are the reference monitors in many smaller studios. With the A7X, ADAM Audio proudly presents the evolution of a legend. It takes everything that made the A7 such an outstanding speaker to a new level. Driver technologyThe first aspect that distiguishes the old from the new model is the X-ART tweeter. The X stands for eXtended frequency response and thus for one of the features of the Accelerating Ribbon Technology that has been drastically improved: the frequency response. It now extends all the way up to 50kHz. In addition, the X-ART tweeter has a higher efficiency and higher maximum sound pressure levels. The perfect integration with the lower frequencies has been achieved with a newly designed 7 midwoofer. It has been redesigned with a much bigger voice coil (1.5) and is driven by an amplifier with twice the power compared to its predecessor. This combination produces an amazing sound and pressure levels with an almost distortion-free musical reproduction.Amplifiers / controlsEach driver has its own dedicated amplifier. A 50W A/B amp is responsible for the X-ART tweeter, while the midwoofer is being driven by a 100W PWM amp. The front panel includes a power switch and a control for the volume that retains the volume setting independently from the on/off switch. On the rear panel are several additional controls: a gain for the high frequencies ( 4dB) and two shelf filters for high and low frequencies. To ensure greater compatibility, there are both XLR (balanced) and RCA (unbalanced) connectors. |

BM14S Active Studio Subwoofer $1899 The Dynaudio Acoustics BM 14S subwoofer is perfectly aligned for operation with the BM and M series monitors. For larger multichannel setups with e.g. five M1.5's, multiple BM 14S's will be a preferred choice. The BM 14S is designed to take care of the most challenging requests and it will compliment larger stereo and multichannel setups in even the most demanding studios. The BM 14S has been designed as a closed cabinet type subwoofer. This type of cabinet design gives you significant control and enhancement of the general performance as the closed cabinet creates an internal pressure. This adds considerably to the amount of accurately reproduced low frequency signals. When audio reproduction is more accurate, it will add to the sense of reality, and the BM 14S ensures exactly that. The BM 14S is very suitable for the following production environments: Post Production Music Recording and Mixing Film Editing DVD authoring and Mastering Multichannel Production (Audio or Audio for pictures) Broadcast Edit suitesWith a substantial 300 watts of power coming from the 12 woofer and an impressive low frequency limit of 18 Hz, this subwoofer is the perfect match for the BM and M series monitors. With an auto On/Off function, energy usage shuts off after minutes of no input signal, thereby saving energy when the subwoofer is idle. As soon as an input is detected, the auto sensing circuit enables the subwoofer to come back to life. A satellite filter feature is provided by the BM 14S, enabling adjustment of low-pass corner frequencies from 50 to 150Hz of the monitor source signal. The subwoofer will thus take care of the lower and power consuming frequencies, and thereby adding to the performance and clarity of the monitors in the system. This is due to the high-pass filtering feature that the BM 14S comes with. If the need arises to daisy-chain more subwoofers to the same system, the low level LFE output gives you exactly that choice. Main Features: 12 woofer Phas |

HA6AB Headphone Amplifier $529.95 The HA-6AB Headphone/Monitor Amplifier is a unique combination of a headphone amp and a conventional power amp. This combination of functions can save the expense of an extra power amp in many recording studios. The HA-6AB is basically an economical 20 watt per channel stereo amplifier. Unlike a conventional power amp, however, it has six headphone outputs (stereo phone jacks) on the front panel, each with an associated volume control. When used for overdubbing or rehearsal, this provides more than adequate loudness in all headphones (even older low-impedance models), and allows each musician to set his or her own comfortable volume level. When the overdubbing is complete and the musicians remove their headphones, the HA-6AB can power the tape playback through either (or both) of two sets of studio monitor speakers, selected by pressing front panel pushbuttons. Without the HA-6AB, a separate amp would be needed for the studio speakers. The HA-6AB also features a convenient input level control on the left side of the front panel. A pair of yellow LED's-one for each channel-light up whenever signal is present (threshold -28 dBu). Another pair of red LED's show an overload condition in either channel. The Furman HA-6AB's 20 watts-per-channel make it ideal as a low distortion headphone driver for the most critical listening situations. While most headphone amps provide half a watt or less per headphone channel, the HA-6AB's higher power can drive headphones of any impedance to their full rated listening level, and do so with minimal noise and distortion. Its power capacity is also just right for the small "cube" reference speakers used in most recording studios as a comparison with the main control room monitors - it can power them without overpowering them. On the studio floor, a set of small monitor speakers driven by the HA-6AB can make a session progress more efficiently by giving the musicians a chance to hear a playback without needing to disconnect themselves |

HR2 Headphone Amplifier $104.95 Furman HR-2 Headphone Remote Stations (sometimes called satellites) are passive devices intended for use with the Furman HA-6A Headphone/Monitor Amplifier, to increase the number of headphone stations beyond the six provided, and/or to locate them more conveniently. With the use of a simple adaptor, HR-2's may also be used successfully with any stereo power amplifier of 50 watts per channel or less to convert them to use as headphone distribution amplifiers. (The Furman SP-20A Half Rack 20 Watt/channel Power Amplifier has the required adaptor built in.) Each HR-2 box can accommodate two sets of headphones, each with its own volume control. USING THE HR-2In rehearsals, headphones are often used to keep sound levels down to avoid disturbing neaighbors. In the recording studio, headphones are most often used in the overdubbing process, where new musical tracks are recorded in synchronization with previously recorded tracks. The musicians doing the overdub hear the already recorded tracks in their headphones, and play along with them. Because of the presence of open microphones, headphones are much preferred to speakers for cueing overdubs. In many situations, it may be sufficient to plug all headphones directly into an HA-6A or other headphone amp. However, in a larger studio, or when each musician must have easy access to his or her headphone volume control, it is more practical to use several HR-2 Remote Stations at strategic locations around the room. In this case, the HA-6A (or the stereo power amplifier substituting for it) would most likely be installed in the control room. The HR-2 Remote Stations connect in "daisy chain" fashion to the SPEAKER B-SATELLITE/REMOTE output on the rear panel of the HA-6A. This output is a male 3-pin XLR connector, so that ordinary microphone cables can be used. The HA-6A connects to the first HR-2 box; another mic cable connects the first HR-2 to the second HR-2; a third mic cable connects the second HR-2 to the third HR-2; and s |

Its legendary ISA110 mic pre and EQ was among the most revered and trusted amongst high-end studio professionals who demanded a clean, pristine, transparent sound but still yielding a bit of warmth to the signal. KMS105 Supercardioid Condenser Microphone $699.95 Designed with superlative vocal reproduction in mind, the KMS105 brings Neumann quality to the demanding sound reinforcement environment. With its super-cardioid polar pattern, low self noise and colorless off-axis pickup, the KMS105 complements in-ear monitor systems. By employing a unique triple acoustic filter, The KMS105 minimizes popping and wind noise, and with special mechanical and electrical filters, handling noise is virtually eliminated. Because of the superior resolution and linear high frequency response, it is very easy for the artist using the KMS105 to identify whether he or she is "on mic". Acoustical features: When compared to other handheld vocal microphones, the KMS105 offers a superior resolution of the voice, with extended frequency response and accurate transient detail. Sibilance problems common to other handheld condenser mics are eliminated. No foam is used in the basket, thus eliminating any "clouding" or "muffling" of the sound. Also, by using a studio grade DC-polarized condenser capsule, all the nuances of the voice come through with subtlety, power and focus. The K55 capsule was developed from the famous K50, found in the KMS150, KM150 and KM185 microphones. This new version features a super-cardioid pattern, achieved by specially modifying the response of the K50 pressure gradient transducer. The frequency response characteristic is developed in the acoustic realm, allowing for accurate representation of transient details found in music and speech, and thus transmitting a very "open" and detailed capture of the human voice.
