How do you know if an amp will power a sub woofer?
Will any amp power any sub woofer as long as the wattage is close? And what does it mean when it says the amp is bridgeable?
The watts rms should be close on the subs and the amp. Be aware that wattage from the amp depends on speaker configuration (4ohms, 2ohms). Bridgeable is when you can take something like a two-channel amplifier and bridge the two channel to make one more powerful channel for say a subwoofer. It is usually better and easier to use a mono, one-channel amp to power a single or pair of subwoofers.
