VV Diesel Glow Plug Harness Quick Disconnect Connector?
Glow plug harness (AKA the Bridge) on the 01 Golf TDI comes with a male quick disconnect connector. Does anybody know the VW part Number for the Female portion of that quick disconnect connector/plug. My local VW dealer parts dept. could not find it in the IPC and the car didn't come with that Factory modification. Want to do the mod to make field maintenance easier.
The reason they couldn't find the female side is that there is no female side. VW designed the glow plug harness as a life time part, which it obviously isn't. The early harnesses (anything 96-2003) are pretty simple though, just two wires to splice in. The 04+s are a little more difficult with 5 (I think) wires, one for each plug and a ground.
