How can I connect my 3-Pin XLR shotgun mike to my camera's 8-Pin XLR Adaptor?

Perhaps with an adaptor cable, of course, but I have looked and looked and cannot find one! I am not too handy with soldering, but if it is the only option, I can manage. Please help! I am filming in three weeks and need a fix soon!
I am using a Panasonic DVC30. As fart as I know, XLR is only used for audio, but I might be wrong. There is another input for audio, but its a stereo mini, and I feel like the XLR can carry a better quality. It is a female plug, and it looks like there are spots for eight prongs of the male. It is in the same group as the other audio jack, and it's labeled 'XLR Adaptor'. Why would Panasonic put this on there if NOTHING is compatible with it? Not even on their own website, far as I can tell!

I am not aware of any "8-pin XLR adapter".

Specifically, page 57. The optional Panasonic AG-MYA30G XLR Microphone Adapter is what plugs into that port you identified. The XLR mic cable then plugs into the AG-MYA30G XLR Microphone adapter's XLR input.

Refer to Page 59 for the notes regarding the using this Panasonic XLR adapter if you intend to use XLR mics.

Your other option is to use an XLR adapter like those from juicedLink or BeachTek - they would plug into the 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo audio input located in that same port cluster.

With the use of a simple adaptor, HR-2's may also be used successfully with any stereo power amplifier of 50 watts per channel or less to convert them to use as headphone distribution amplifiers. (The Furman SP-20A Half Rack 20 Watt/channel Power Amplifier has the required adaptor built in.) Each HR-2 box can accommodate two sets of headphones, each with its own volume control. USING THE HR-2In rehearsals, headphones are often used to keep sound levels down to avoid disturbing neaighbors. In the recording studio, headphones are most often used in the overdubbing process, where new musical tracks are recorded in synchronization with previously recorded tracks. The musicians doing the overdub hear the already recorded tracks in their headphones, and play along with them. Because of the presence of open microphones, headphones are much preferred to speakers for cueing overdubs. In many situations, it may be sufficient to plug all headphones directly into an HA-6A or other headphone amp. However, in a larger studio, or when each musician must have easy access to his or her headphone volume control, it is more practical to use several HR-2 Remote Stations at strategic locations around the room. In this case, the HA-6A (or the stereo power amplifier substituting for it) would most likely be installed in the control room. The Studio Projects 828 is an 8 Channel mic preamp incorporating the latest rev of Burr Brown IC's. The SP828 is also an 8X2 mixer that allows a real time mix of all 8 inputs two a stereo out buss. Housed in a 1U 19" rack, each channel on the SP828 offers: 48V phantom power with LED; Phase Reverse with LED; Mic/Line Switch with LED - Defaults to 20dB Pad; Peak and Signal Present Indicators; Gain Control; Level & Pan; Solo Switch with LED. The SP828 has individual outputs on each channel via balanced 1/4" jacks for direct feeds to any recording medium. Both line level inputs on 1/4" balanced jacks, and XLR balanced mic inputs are on the rear panel. When nothing is plugged into the line input of any channel, the mic/line switch of that channel defaults to a 20dB pad switch. The output section has a stereo L/R output control and a headphone input with control for real time monitoring. In addition, there are L/R LED meters and a Solo LED for monitoring. The master section output has L/R outputs on 1/4" balanced jacks, and inserts for the L/R buss. There is a summed mono 1/4" output jack for an external feed. Each unit has an expansion in/out jack to allow for cascading several units together to get up to 32 inputs where all 32 inputs buss to the L/R mix out, while offering 32 direct outputs for remote recording.
