Dropouts with wireless mic system?
I am using GTD Audio G-338 hand held system. I get alot of drop outs with this system especially if I'm using an outside power socket or if I plug it into my power strip that I plug my speakers & all my other dj equipment into. The dropout makes a huge static sound & is quite embarassing. When I plug this unit directly into an inside wall socket seperately from everything else the problem seems to diminish. Sometimes I don't always have this option though. Was thinking about getting another unit GTD Audios G-788L True Diversity system with 2 lapel mics for wedding ceremonies, but was wondering if I could get a hand held mic to go along with this system? And is this the right system for me? Could I use my old hand helds from my G-338 system with the G-788? The G-388 operates in the 800m range on the receiver, & the G-788 operates on the 600m range. Tried calling gtd audio but no one ever answers.
You might want to stay away from GTD Audio altogether. There are many cheap Chinese made wireless mics out there that do not work well. You really should consider a wireless system from Shure, AKG, Sennheiser - maybe Samson if you are on a budget.
Mixing and matching mics from different systems may work as long as they are capable of changing frequencies. I personally would not do it.

These mics are more expensive than the GTD Audio mics but the difference is they work. I have never had a dropout with my Shure mics.
