Mic Stand
Is it possible to use a mic stand as a boom pole?

Wanting to do some film here, and sound quality had always been a problem. Wondering if i could use a mic stand as a boom pole..

Perhaps if you borrowed, rented or purchased the proper equipment and learned to use it properly you would not have quality issues.

A mic stand will probably be rather heavy but would work just as well as any long telescoping pole. The quality is going to be determined by the microphone, where it is placed, what is being recorded and how it is mixed both on set and in editing.
