Dynamic Microphone
i have a dynamic karoke microphone and it dont work?

i connected the mic 2 my computer using a jack because the socket was 2 big and i use audacity 2 test it and the quality came out crap and it was all buzzing. why is that? also i have a desktop mic and that had much better quality which shoudnt really it shoulb be the dynamic karoke mic.
sorry spelt should with a b instead of a d

Pro mics are not really electrically compatible with the mic input jacks on computers, and you can't convert them with a simple adapter. The buzzing you're hearing is a typical result.

Your best bet is to use a small mixer as a mic preamp and run the line out from the mixer into your computer's line in.

What kind of connector is on the mic?

btw, the word "to" is spelled "to", and you do have a shift key for capital letters like the word "I". You have an apostrophe as well for "don't" and "shouldn't". Also, "Karoake". This isn't txting, yo.

The first 2 channels have a built-in limiter/compressor. It turns on at the touch of a button and provides quality signal processing, enabling you to smooth out the dynamic range of your voice or instrument with ease. This can really help place your vocal performances clearly out front of the music for increased intelligibility, enabling your audience to hear every word and note clear and precise. Each channel has high and low EQ enabling you to dial in the perfect frequency to enhance your signal. Rotary faders on each channel make it

 Fireface 800 FireWire Audio Interface

Fireface 800 FireWire Audio Interface

$1799

RME's Fireface 800 is the world's most powerful FireWire audio interface ever. Up to 56 channels record/playback, up to 192 kHz sample rate, and true FireWire 800 sum up to an unsurpassed high-end, high performance and high speed FireWire audio interface. Since the Fireface first shipped in July 2004, the unit became the reference for FireWire audio - and still is today! Lots of 'world's first' and 'world's only' features put the Fireface 800 far ahead of the competition. The Fireface 800 combines the latest and also proven technologies of previous RME products with the fastest FireWire technology. Analog technology of the ADI-8 converters, microphone technology of QuadMic and OctaMic, TotalMix technology of the Hammerfall DSP series, years of experience in programming of efficient and reliable drivers, up to complete support from DIGICheck - only the best of the best, and even a bit more. The Fireface 800 offers the best worked out instrument input that could ever be found in an audio interface, a high power headphone output and signal-to-noise ratios of 119 dBA - typically RME! Analog I/OsEight balanced line inputs and outputs with software controlled switching of the reference levels (-10 dBV, +4 dBu, HiGain), of course realized discretely in the analog domain, guarantee highest dynamic range and highest fidelity. Apart from the levels of the microphone pre-amps and the headphone outputs, all device settings are software controlled. Equipped with the latest A/D and D/A converter chips, all I/Os operate up to 192 kHz and reach 119 dBA dynamic range on playback - even the headphone output! The front-sided headphone output in high power technology does not only deliver high volume with low-impedance headphones, but represents the playback channels 9/10. Therefore the headphone output can be used directly with ASIO Direct Monitoring. On the front side, the Fireface 800 has 4 discrete balanced microphone inputs with class-A stage, separate activation of 48 V phantom pow

 HV3C Stereo Microphone Preamp

HV3C Stereo Microphone Preamp

$1843.99

Combining a precisely matched octet of discrete bipolar transistors with a laser trimmed DC coupled FET-based output driver stage, the Millennia HV-3C (tm) is an entirely "double balanced," extremely wide dynamic range stereo microphone preamplifier intended for demanding acoustic recording. Unlike "textbook" mic preamplifiers, the HV-3C signal path never unbalances or rebalances the original signal thus maintaining a high degree of signal integrity. Over 20,000 channels of HV-3 micamps are already in use by a who's-who in critical acoustic recording. Unlike preamps using vacuum tubes, IC function modules and audio transformers (all of which can lend their own audio coloration) the Millennia HV-3C is precisely optimized towards capturing the subtlest detail of music and ambience. With +23 dBu native input headroom, the HV-3C requires no input pads, attenuators, or switch points as found on common textbook preamp designs - thus avoiding yet another source of sonic degradation. Moreover, with its +32 dBu output headroom, ultra-high dynamic stability and linearity is assured. NOTE: The HV-3C is a recently-updated version of the HV-3B two channel mic preamp, with improved mechanical design and cosmetics, and standard 36 step gain control. HV-3C uses the identical preamps as found in the HV-3D 8-ch units. HV-3C signal path from input through output is entirely balanced with a minimum amplifier topology. Uncompromising circuit design with meticulous selection and hand-matching of critical components assures consistently transparent audio performance at all dynamic excursions and frequency extensions. KM184 Cardioid Condenser Microphone

KM184 Cardioid Condenser Microphone

$849.95

Designed for critical recording and live-sound operations the KM184 is a small diaphragm, cardioid condenser microphone. Its capsule and electronics are identical to those of the KM1240. By omitting the -10dB pad switch and making the KM184 cardioid only, Neumann is able to offer a microphone that provides maximum performance at a price much lower than previously possible. the KM184 can handle sound pressure levels of 138dB before overloading, making it particularly useful for percussion, cymbals, hi-hats and brass instruments. It is also extremely quiet (16dB A-weighted self noise), making it excellent for the caputring the subtle nuances of acoustic guitar and orchestral performances. KMS105 Supercardioid Condenser Microphone

KMS105 Supercardioid Condenser Microphone

$699.95

Designed with superlative vocal reproduction in mind, the KMS105 brings Neumann quality to the demanding sound reinforcement environment. With its super-cardioid polar pattern, low self noise and colorless off-axis pickup, the KMS105 complements in-ear monitor systems. By employing a unique triple acoustic filter, The KMS105 minimizes popping and wind noise, and with special mechanical and electrical filters, handling noise is virtually eliminated. Because of the superior resolution and linear high frequency response, it is very easy for the artist using the KMS105 to identify whether he or she is "on mic". Acoustical features: When compared to other handheld vocal microphones, the KMS105 offers a superior resolution of the voice, with extended frequency response and accurate transient detail. Sibilance problems common to other handheld condenser mics are eliminated. No foam is used in the basket, thus eliminating any "clouding" or "muffling" of the sound. Also, by using a studio grade DC-polarized condenser capsule, all the nuances of the voice come through with subtlety, power and focus. The K55 capsule was developed from the famous K50, found in the KMS150, KM150 and KM185 microphones. This new version features a super-cardioid pattern, achieved by specially modifying the response of the K50 pressure gradient transducer. The frequency response characteristic is developed in the acoustic realm, allowing for accurate representation of transient details found in music and speech, and thus transmitting a very "open" and detailed capture of the human voice.
